The Use of Online Technologies in Primary Teacher Education Course
Lecturers and students in the primary pre-service teacher education course at La Trobe University make use of online technologies, including the online management system WebCT, in different ways for teaching and learning. This paper presents findings of an investigation into the students’ attitudes toward the use of online technologies in promoting learning and social interactions, and the perceptions of the effectiveness of the WebCT and World Wide Web in their teacher education course. Implications for teaching in teacher education courses will be discussed.
