In the recent years, distributed computing has become the norm, especially after the advent of the Internet. Today, technological advances are shaping new computing environment where the user is free from the need to work at a specific location, and is even enabled to work while on the move. The main aim of the paper is to provide some Location Based services to clients of a mobile network. This paper mainly deals with tracking the roaming clients and provides service whenever requested. Location Based Services Provide personalized services to the subscriber based on their current position.

N.Ch.S.N.Iyengar received the M.Sc degree in Applied Mathematics in 1984, Ph.D. degree in Fluid Dynamics in 1990 from Regional Engineering College, Kakatiya University, India and M.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India in 2001. He is currently professor in the Department of Computer Applications at Vellore Institute of Technology, Deemed university, Vellore, India. His current research interests include Agent technology, Information retrieval, Web technologies and Networking.
