Do Indian knowledge professionals have a work ethic defined by changing values of caste and community networks? This paper argues that their work ethic is progressive in terms of redifining existing social barriers in the workplace and entrepreneurial teams for upward mobility, in contradiction to the domestic sphere where the rationality of traditional values of caste and kinship are still widely upheld.
